Türk Hava Yolları A.O. and OPET Petrolcülük A.Ş. each have a 50% share in the company THY OPET Havacılık Yakıtları A.Ş. Established on September the 8th, 2009, with a 75 million dollar investment budget, the company began operating in the field of fuel storage and aircraft refueling.

By July the 1st, 2010 its strong technical infrastructure, and the specially equipped state-of-the-art refuellers and dispensers, were providing supply and into plane services. By the end of the year all airports across Turkey were covered; an incredible and highly successful achievement.

Having combined the aviation expertise of Turkish Airlines, which has now become one of the leading airlines of Europe, with OPET's long-established presence in the fuel sector, the THY OPET partnership continually aimed to lead from the front, both home and abroad.

It commenced supplying jet fuel on July 1, 2010 relying on its strong, technical infrastructure and its fleet of specially equipped state-of-the-art refuellers and dispensers. THY OPET was now, therefore capable, of providing supply and into plane services in all airports across Turkey by the end of 2010. In 2014 THY OPET aims to meet the fuel requirements of national and global airlines, including THY.

Tüpraş, Opet Akaryakıt Storage Facilities are strategically located around the country: Marmara - Ereğlisi, - Körfez and Giresun in the north and extend from Antalya to Mersin in the south. Having now completed a programme of storage facility investment, THY OPET has attained a leading position in the industry.
